About the device
What is a bettsometer?
Bettsometer is a device that has been designed to measure fabric/sewing degradation in time.
Bettsometer allows even inexperienced users to check tear strength of any fabric/sewing, just to be sure it can still withstand pressures it is subjected to.
Bettsometer is a device that has been designed to measure fabric/sewing degradation in course of time. It allows easy way to check tear strength of any fabric/sewing (even for inexperienced users), in order to make sure whether a fabric/sewing can still withstand pressures it is subjected to. A very important thing is – our bettsometer does not destroy or weaken tested fabric/sewing. Its portable size allows usage anywhere, without the necessity to disassemble sails, large pieces of fabric, etc. It does not require a laboratory, since it can be used in open air and the test results are displayed immediately.
Bettsometer is a device that can be used in many different areas:
Sky-Sports
Its portable size and quick readout is best for all sky-sports like paragliding, parachute jumping, ballooning etc. Every pilot can quickly check how much the fabric or sewing degraded in course of time and UV exposure. Since it is life that’s at stake, it is crucial to know the condition of your paraglider/parachute/balloon.
Water Sports
Another appliance is for checking the sails on boats. We all know how difficult it is to check the tear strength of sails on the boat. With our bettsometer you can do it in a few simple steps, without the need to remove the sail from the boat.
Textile Business
Every company manufacturing clothes needs to check, both the fabrics that are supplied by external companies and stitching quality, at the post-production check. That is exactly what our bettsometer is suitable for. Quick and easy operation allows usage anywhere and by most inexperienced users.
Available models:
BM-1
Mechanical bettsometer that allows measuring tear resistance of fabric and break strength of sewing.
BM-2
Electronic bettsometer that serves the very same purpose as mechanical, however it displays readout on an LCD without the necessity to look at the sliding scale
